SUBVERSION, THE RETURN OF THE REPRESSED
Athens, December 1944, a Story of the Political Underground
«SUBVERSION», is an installation of a temporal monument dedicated to the unrealized explosion of Hotel «Grande Bretagne», on Christmas of 1944. The hotel was subverted by the communist resistance awaiting Churchill’ s official visit in Athens. The recollection and the documentation of the event plunges into the urban underground, its hidden structure, pulling out its corporeality and the repressed desires of the urban unconscious.
